Swiss Made – Cradle to Cradle® Top Quality don’t need to be expensive!
Schlossberg Textil AG of Switzerland had to search for the best answers for changing markets and increased demands. Founded in 1959, Schlossberg has always been an impressive company, with high product quality and good design. A comfort trend for bed and bath has already been created with the towel products, offering superior quality standards.
The towels features are:
- Skin-softness,
- maximum absorbence at the very first use,
- the highest resistance and brilliance
With Bonjour “Sensitive” Schlossberg went one step further. It developed a unique textile product which combines environmental compatibility with modern design and has met the high standard of quality award of Cradle to Cradle® Gold. The towels are 100% safe for biological cycles and are setting new standards. In close cooperation with EPEA Internationale Umweltforschung GmbH of Hamburg and their suppliers, Schlossberg developed the Cradle to Cradle® product Bonjour “Sensitive” terry cloth towel.
To create a towel of such a quality it was necessary to radically rethink the material composition. In addition to the positive definition of textile raw materials, the dyes, auxiliaries and basic materials have been assessed for the effects on human health and the environment. These ingredients provide a positively defined agenda to ensure the safety of people and the sustainability of raw materials, such as Egyptian longstaple cotton, instead of the traditional approach of using fiber blends.
The developed Cradle to Cradle ® “Sensitive” towel safe for biological cycles. The biowaste is therefore a positive contribution to the regeneration and fertilization of the soil. Schlossberg created this innovation with the goal of reaching new dimensions in the textile industry and thus setting new product standards.
