Grabher Earns Digital Product Passport Compass Cradle to Cradle
Digital Product Passport
Grabher Group GmbH of Lustenau, Austria, has received the "Digital Product Passport Compass Cradle to Cradle Report" from epeaswitzerland. It covers all technical nonwovens that Grabher produces at its Lustenau facility. epeaswitzerland awarded the report as an independent third party.
The report is based on the Digital Product Passport (DPP), which the EU is currently rolling out. It assesses a product's performance and energy consumption as well as its recyclability according to the Cradle to Cradle principle.
Grabher runs Austria's only production facility for meltblown nonwovens, made from very fine microfibres and used in masks and filters. Production runs on 100 per cent hydropower. Grabher says it is the world's first manufacturer able to produce these materials with a negative carbon footprint. Its nonwovens for air and liquid filtration already hold C2C Certified Material Health Gold certification.
About epeaswitzerland: epeaswitzerland GmbH, based in Widnau (SG), is internationally recognised as a pioneer of the Cradle-to-Cradle approach in circular product design.
